breakin the rules

About 4 years ago at my baby shower someone gave me the advice to NEVER let my children sleep in bed with me. I am proud to say that in 4 years...not ONCE have my kids slept with us. Until last night. Lincoln was having some trouble breathing, his wheezing was scaring me and I couldn't hear his breathing well enough on the baby monitor. So yes...I did it. He slept with us for a couple hours.....JUST until I knew he could breathe ok. While in bed he kept requesting that I sing "twinkle twinkle little star" over and over. When he sounded like he was going to survive the night....STRAIGHT back to bed with him.

I guess it was quite a treat. All morning he has been hanging out in our bed singing "tinkle tinkle." Sorry buddy...you are so very cute, and I love you....but no more monkeys in mommy and daddy's bed tonight!

where we've been

We (Maggie, Lincoln, & I) made a trip to Fallon last week. It was fun to see everyone and we were lovin the BEAUTIFUL weather. My kids experienced their very first 4-H show, we swam, played with cousins and friends, rode horses, collected rollie pollies, got a stomach bug, hung out with Grandma and Grandpa, and ate PIZZA BARN. Couldn't have asked for more. Except that Dan could have been there with us, that I would have taken more pictures, and minus the stomach flu part. Here are a couple of pictures I did take:
Lounging on Mylee's Dora couch. Quite the hot spot.

Enjoying the 80 degree weather.

Maggie's new best friend, Rose.

We already miss everyone, but it's good to be with Daddy again!

here HE is

Our 20 week ultrasound was today.
It's a BOY!
We are very excited.
Maggie cried (she already had her "little sister" named)...but she is getting used to the idea.
Dan is making plans for his future basketball duo (Lincoln & Baby).
I have NO idea what I will name this baby.
Can you see that little face?

breakfast

SO this is what happens when you leave for 2 seconds during breakfast.
I was a bit upset about the mess. Yes...Maggie is in time out.
then I caught a glimpse of this face.
he's thrilled.

she's the brains behind this.
(I didn't stay mad for long)

we definitely couldn't let a WHOLE box of Rice Krispies & 1/4 gallon of milk go to waste.
(bowls are totally overrated)

Mmm...good.

weather

Sunny weather....why do you have to TEASE us like this?
we will enjoy you today.
today we are having a picnic.
BUT it will be cold & rainy tomorrow.
so tomorrow we will most likely be...

practicing our dance moves,

walking skills,

learning how to be a big brother,

and how to share.
looks like we have a lot to learn.

DIAPERS

If you need diapers....Walgreens is having a GREAT Huggies sale this week. PLUS you can get $3.00 off Huggies Natural Fit and $5.00 off Huggies Gentle Care coupons here. You can print off 2 of each from one computer. They reset them last week so I was able to get 4 of each.

Huggies Jumbo diapers & pullups are on sale at Walgreens for $10.00 each & Huggies 216 count wipes for $6.00. GET THIS....if you spend $25.00 in these products you get $10.00 back in Register Rewards to use on your next purchase. There are lots of different ways you can do this with your coupons ( The coupons also work on the wipes)...

Here is what I did. I did it in 3 seperate transactions:

#1

1 Hugg NF size 1 $10.00 ($5 off coupon)
1 Hugg NF size 1 $10.00 ($5 off)
1 Hugg GC size 4 $10.00 ($3 off)
1 Hugg Wipes $6.00 ($5 off)

Total: $4.50 (I used the $13.50 RR from last time which brought it down from $18)
Then I got $10 RR for spending $25.00 in Huggies (before coupons)

#2

1 Hugg GC size 4 $10.00 ($3 off)
1 Hugg GC size 4 $10.00 ($3 off)
1 Hugg GC size 4 $10.00 ($3 off)

Total: $21.00 PLUS $10 back in RR

#3

1 Hugg Pullup $10.00 ($2 off coupon I got in the mail)
1 Hugg Pullup $10.00 ($2 off)
1 Hugg NF size 2 $10.00 ($5 off)

Total: $1.00 (I used my $20 RR from the 2 previous transactions)

GRAND TOTAL: $26.50
TOTAL SAVINGS:$93.27

**You cannot get $10 back in RR if you use RR from the same deal on that purchase. That is why I saved them both until the last transaction. That is also why I didn't get $10 back the last time. MAKE SENSE???

If you live near Walgreens...go get yourself some!

No more coupon posts for a while. PROMISE! If you need some good coupon info....go visit my friend Katie's blog here.
