where we've been
We (Maggie, Lincoln, & I) made a trip to Fallon last week. It was fun to see everyone and we were lovin the BEAUTIFUL weather. My kids experienced their very first 4-H show, we swam, played with cousins and friends, rode horses, collected rollie pollies, got a stomach bug, hung out with Grandma and Grandpa, and ate PIZZA BARN. Couldn't have asked for more. Except that Dan could have been there with us, that I would have taken more pictures, and minus the stomach flu part. Here are a couple of pictures I did take:

here HE is
It's a BOY!
We are very excited.
Maggie cried (she already had her "little sister" named)...but she is getting used to the idea.
Dan is making plans for his future basketball duo (Lincoln & Baby).
I have NO idea what I will name this baby.
Can you see that little face?

DIAPERS
If you need diapers....Walgreens is having a GREAT Huggies sale this week. PLUS you can get $3.00 off Huggies Natural Fit and $5.00 off Huggies Gentle Care coupons here. You can print off 2 of each from one computer. They reset them last week so I was able to get 4 of each.
Huggies Jumbo diapers & pullups are on sale at Walgreens for $10.00 each & Huggies 216 count wipes for $6.00. GET THIS....if you spend $25.00 in these products you get $10.00 back in Register Rewards to use on your next purchase. There are lots of different ways you can do this with your coupons ( The coupons also work on the wipes)...
Here is what I did. I did it in 3 seperate transactions:
#1
1 Hugg NF size 1 $10.00 ($5 off coupon)
1 Hugg NF size 1 $10.00 ($5 off)
1 Hugg GC size 4 $10.00 ($3 off)
1 Hugg Wipes $6.00 ($5 off)
Total: $4.50 (I used the $13.50 RR from last time which brought it down from $18)
Then I got $10 RR for spending $25.00 in Huggies (before coupons)

**You cannot get $10 back in RR if you use RR from the same deal on that purchase. That is why I saved them both until the last transaction. That is also why I didn't get $10 back the last time. MAKE SENSE???
If you live near Walgreens...go get yourself some!
No more coupon posts for a while. PROMISE! If you need some good coupon info....go visit my friend Katie's blog here.

my recent addiction

THESE!
I have seriously always been completely TERRIFIED of using coupons, and being behind crazy coupon people in line REALLY annoys me...BUT...after spending WAY too much on groceries last month, and seeing other people SAVE so much by using coupons, I decided...maybe it's time.
So today I had my first COUPONING experience. It really wasn't so bad. I think I was sweating bullets just hoping I was doing everything right and making sure I got the MAXIMUM savings I could. Here's how it turned out...
2 chex mix
1 colgate Max Fresh toothpaste
1 colgate Total toothpaste
(Don't you forget that FREE toothbrush on top of that...OH YEA!)
1 pantene fusion shampoo
1 pantene fusion conditioner
4 dove soap bars
4 dove deoderants (they are just travel size...BUT they were free)
2 boxes fiber one bars
MY grand total after all savings....$4.76
Total savings....$20.70 PLUS $13.50 Register rewards to use as cash on my next visit!
Not too bad for my first time, right?? I was pretty pleased with myself until I went outside of Walgreens and discovered I had left my lights on. Thanks to my hubby for coming to rescue our dead battery.
So...are you a coupon person? Any helpful tips? How do YOU save money on groceries?
